Learning objectives:

The formative objective for the student consists of achieving the following learning outcomes.

Knowledge and understanding.
The course aims at providing the necessary tools for an in-depth understanding of the economic-business dynamics related to global markets in light of the increased information available.

Applying knowledge and understanding.
The course aims to transfer to the student the ability: i) to critically interpret international economic dynamics; ii) to know how to both theoretically and empirically describe the economic phenomena linked to the globalization process; iii) be able to understand and carry out comparative studies on the competitiveness of both single firms and aggregated economic systems by exploiting the increased information made available by the digitization processes.
Prerequisite:

Basic knowledge of macroeconomics and microeconomics. Exam of Economia dei Mercato Globali
Teaching methods:

Traditional classes, practices with ad hoc software, home assignments
Exam type:

Realization of a study including a data analysis. Presentation of results through slides

The course aims at introducing students to an in-depth analyses of issues dealt with in the course "Economia dei Mercati Globali " and at enhancing their ability in preparing economic reports and/or presentations on themes related to innovation, firm productivity and globalization.

The course program will be defined individually with the students.
